She currently lives in New Jersey with her husband, three beautiful children, a cat, and an old (but still very hairy) German shepherd. Catie aspires to become a published children’s author of humorous picture books and middle grade novels that spark laughter and a love of reading for all children, even the most reluctant of readers.
Catie is a member of SCBWI and Julie Hedlund's 12x12 Picture Book Group
She is currently seeking representation for her middle grade novel.

TEN FUN FACTS
1. I hold three NJ Teaching certificates; K-5 Elementary Education, Special Education, and Early Childhood Education.
2. I attended Seton Hall University and was honored to give the Salutatorian commencement speech at my graduation. My cheeks were actually sore the next day from smiling so much!
3. My husband went to Seton Hall University too, but we didn't meet until after we both had already graduated!
4. I worked summers as a teenager in my Dad's engineering office but I didn't like it very much. I spent every free minute of time writing stories, plays, and drawing instead. Sorry, Dad!
5. My favorite author from childhood is Roald Dahl. I used to inhale his books and I must have read, The Witches, dozens of times. Now, I enjoy reading with my children. My son and I love to read The Last Kids on Earth and The Bad Guys series together.
6. My favorite food is nachos! But I'll never turn down chocolate either!
7. I have the best dreams. They're always super vivid and imaginative. I think that's part of the reason why I love to sleep! Plus, it's my favorite way to get new writing ideas!
8. I make up silly songs about everyday tasks and sing them to my kids. They like it...or at least they tolerate it!
9. Beach days are my favorite! I've lived close to the beach my whole life and love it. But floating on raft in the pool comes in a close second!
10. I've always wanted to swim with dolphins. Any takers?
